Hope Township Road Commission meeting

Review of the previous meeting minutes
2008 road recommendations approved by the board in November 2007

E Mid-Glad County Line Rd from Middle Rd west

Comments from the floor:
Discussion was made about Adams Rd from M-30 to 5
Mile Rd (.95 mile)
Request was made by Township members in attendance
that the road be paved.
It was noted that previous petitions had been filed
by residents along that
stretch of road board members reviewed one such
petition from 1991.
Discussion was made about E Hull Rd from Stark to
Dublin
Request was made by Township members in attendance
that the road be paved.
It was noted that drainage and gravel work done in 2007 was a
much needed improvement.
Request was made for the board to investigate the availability
of Federal funds
for possible future road improvements in Hope. Jim will check
to see what
might be available.
New Business:
Discussion was made about a millage renewal as the current road
millage has expired. It was suggested that the board pursue
another 4 year millage renewal
in the August primary of 2008. It was decided to make it a
renewal only and not
a roll-back to the original 2 mils. It was estimated that the
current millage rate,
if renewed, of 1.9 mils would bring in about $90,000 for each of
the next 4 years.
Next 2 meetings of the Road Commission are April 24th,
2008 and June 26th, 2008 @ 7:00 in the Hope Township
Hall
