CLERK’S MINUTES:

The minutes from December 12, 2007 were distriubuted earlier. Elgin moved to approve minues and Bob seconded the motion. Motion carried.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Financial reports were distrubuted earlier. Bob moved to accept the reports and Elgin supported the motion. Motion carried.

OUTSTANDING BILLS:

Bob moved to pay the outstanding bills and Joe seconded. A roll call vote was called:

FIRE DEPARTMENT:

A down line standby cost recovery ordinance has been dicussed and decided it is necessary with the state requirements for all townships to adopt such ordinance. Without ordinance there would be no cost recovery. Such ordinance was adopted at meeting and is on file with Clerk. The new fire truck chassis will be in Michigan at Circle K in the next two weeks. The company is finishing up two other fire trucks and Hope’s will be next in line.

PARK COMMISSION:

No meeting.

PLANNING COMMISSION:

Next meeting is February 7, 2007. Rezoning is one topic on agenda. This would be property of Bob Bradfields. Public hearing is published in Midland paper.

WATER DISTRIBUTION:

Meeting with Water District #1, they need to know if Hope Township will commit to $365,000 for water line expansion. We are looking at $8,500 a year for forty years at this time. Board decided to collect more info before making a decision. Mike will report back next month.

CHAPEL COMMITEE:

No committee meeting. Waiting for spring to check with Pat’s Gradeall for prices to grind out stumps.

TOWNSHIP CODE AUTHORITY:

Meeting will be January 22, 2007 at county building.

WIXOM LAKE IMPROVEMENT BOARD REPORT:

No meeting.

TOWNSHIP ROAD ADVISORY COMMISSION:

No meeting.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

MTA convention, January 23-27. Board members attending-Mike Kressler, Bob Davis and Jjoann Wilkie. Parking is secured at Beaurien parking garage.
