Edenville Township is hosting a meeting concerning
the right to farm on February 20, 2007. Discussion was held concerning
the occupancy at the horse farm on Hull Road. There is no septic
system or well for living at the premises. It was decided that
the Secretary of Planning Commission should write a letter to
inform the occupants they are staying there illegally. It was
moved by Joe and seconded by Mike to have Diane write the letter.
Motion carried.
The supervisor reported from the District 1 meeting
and special meeting with Wade Trim Engineers. D. Wolfe and D.
Bergdot from Wade Trim discussed parcel count and price per parcel
for hookups and cost for water lines. Township needs to do survey
to get idea where people are interested in getting water and the
best route for water line. Possibility of getting property owners
addresses from our assessor. County commissioner waterman will
help where ever he can. Notifly him of any meetings or assistant
he should know about.
The board had agreed they were not happy with the previous
company that mowed and trimmed the old and new cemeteries. The
clerk will put a ad in the Midland Daily News for interested
people to interview at March’s board meeting. Iit was
moved by Joe and seconded by Bob to construct a wall in basement
of chapel to store old papers for township. Motion carried.
Mike and Bob will start in the next two weeks.
Jeanne Shauger has resigned as treasurer and representative
for Jasper Township. Dan Slangle will be taken her place as
both Representative and Treasurer. The office girl, Amy Hoover
is taking over secretary position for Township Code Authority.
WIXOM LAKE IMPROVEMENT BOARD REPORT:
RESOLUTION: PERTAINING TO PARCEL # 050-003-100-250-00
EXEMPT FROM WIXOM LAKE TAX
Mike Englis has requested that he be repaid the
Wixom Lake fee for spraying as this lot is not on the waterfront.
He has two lots on the water, but the third is across the road
from water. The board agreed Mr. Englis should not be charged
for the lot not on waterfront. The property description is:
#050-003-100-250-00. A resolution pertaining to this property
description being exempt from the Wixom Lake Iimprovement Tax,
and the tax be reiumbursed was made by Joe and was seconded
by Bob. A roll call vote was called and resolution passed:

NEW BUSINESS
Lori reported that the cupboards are in, the walls and floors
in bathrooms are painted. The new faucets are in bathrooms.
Lori requested that new shades be purchased for the main room
of the hall. Consensus was yes. Heat registers need to be replaced
also. Lori will take care of this.
