CLERK’S MINUTES:

The minutes were dispersed earlier. Elgin moved to accept minutes and Bob seconded the motion. Motion carried.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Check from accident fund was put into general fund until it is determined what it is from. Elgin moved to accept report and Bob seconded. Motion carried. The Auditor's Report was reviewed and there needs to be expenses and incomes adjusted. Joe stated we need electronic financial statements. It should come through the auditor. An amended budget was presented from the auditor. Elgin made motion to ammend budget, Bob seconded motion, motion carried. A roll call vote was polled:

Jim Doepker would like copy of auditor’s report, Joe will get one for the fire department. Joe still is owed one $400.00 check for collecting summer taxes. Delises wrote a negative letter to the Hope Township Board concerning delinquent taxes. Discussion was held concerning doing business with a company that is disrespectful with another company.

Joe noted that it is cheaper to pay for township’s website six months at a time than every month. Board authorized Joe to pay with credit card.

Auditor noticed that two checks in the amount of $1,600.00 and $4,800.00 did not have invoices with check duplicates. Joe will check with JoAnn, will decide what needs to do afterwards.

OUTSTANDING BILLS:

Discussion of splitting well repair bill with fire department. Decided it was a joint venture. Board okay'd to split bill.
Discussion of salary payment of Diane Vaughn and Bob Davis. Will check with Clerk. Bob made the motion to pay bills and Elgin seconded the motion, motion carried to pay bills. A roll call vote was called:

FIRE DEPARTMENT:

 

Thanks from the fire chief for repairing the well. No new news on fire truck. There were nine runs in October, seven medical, one good intent, and one mutual aid.

PARK COMMISSION:

Was a short meeting. Caretaker duties were reviewed. Nick’s pay was cut for October and John was not paid as no mowing, etc., was done. Just the bathroom’s checked and garbage out. It was voted to have Tom Clark winterize the building. Lori and Mary did the other final steps for winterizing the park. Will go out for a new caretaker next year.

PLANNING COMMISSION:

No meeting.

WATER DISTRIBUTION:

Possibility of water continuing the Spring of 2008. Hope will need to know if Hope residents will want water through the Township. When all bills were paid from grants, all bills submitted were paid. Including the salaries from water board and the survey postage to land owners. Cantract for Water District #1 needs to be signed and returned.

CHAPEL COMMITEE:

No business.

TOWNSHIP CODE AUTHORITY:

Elgin reported there was one new addition, two out buildings in Hope. Next meeting is November 27, at 5:00pm at the county building.

WIXOM LAKE IMPROVEMENT BOARD REPORT:

No business

TOWNSHIP ROAD ADVISORY COMMISSION:

Meeting was on October 27, 2006. We have $162,000.00 for road work. The proposals decided on were:
1) Hull Road from Wendt to Stark.
2) Stark to Dublin(asphalt)
3) Baker between Stark and Dublin
4) Hull Roadd, repave & bring up Stark to Dublin-ready for asphalt.
This is reccommendations. Cost is approixmately $177,000.00. Will have to check with road comm to see if they would carry difference until new taxes in. Bob made motion to accept the reccommendation of the road comm. . It was seconded by Mike A roll call vote was polled:

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Joe made motion to accept contract with Midland tomorrow and pay annual fee. Bob seconded motion ad motion carried.

Bob made motion to refund Mike back for expenses for handicap ramp and parking pad. Also door and new handicap doorlatch. Also for labor for all who worked on ramp. It was seconded by Elgin A roll call vote was polled:
